Arruda Legal Nurse Consulting provides the support you need to build the strongest possible medically related cases for your clients.  I am a Registered Nurse with 19 years of active clinical practice.  I have worked in a variety of specialty areas including  Medical/Surgical, Orthopedics, Telemetry, Administration and Critical Care.  I have supervised staffs of over 100 employees and have held 24 hours responsibilities for overall nursing unit operations.  I have practiced in the following states:  Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Texas, California and Maine.  I have served as Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, Nursing Educator, Nurse Manager as well as a Director of Nursing.  Over the past  19 years, I have worked in a variety of hospital settings from rural up to and including a 710 bed teaching facility.  I have written policies regarding patient safety, fall prevention, medical error reduction and have successfully managed unit operations through three JCAHO surveys.  I am also a published author in the Journal of Nursing Management. I am currently supporting both Defense and Plaintiff Attorneys nationally.
